On the internet you'll find a great number of sites offering informations
about the current Iran, and also about the ancient Persia and its history up
to the present time.
You also will find pictures of Iran, but generally only about a few standard
historic monuments or buildings - however, in many cases these pictures even
lack quality.
IranPIX doesn't concentrate on showing places of the historic Persia alone, rather
than trying to give visitors an impression of the giant variety of nature,
people and how life shows up in modern Iran. A huge number of the pictures
shot so far have to be reviewed and classified, and therefore are not yet
published on this site.
Most likely you won't find pictures shown here on any other site in the
web. Actually, I am even sure a lot of Iranians haven't ever seen some of the places
shown here by themselves.
My gratitude goes to all individuals which
crossed the country with me, showing oriental patience for the time consuming
photo sessions.
I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I did when shooting them.
